Mit dieser Serie setzt sich der Maler radikal mit den existenziellen Grundlagen des Menschseins auseinander: mit Hunger, Begierde, Zerstörung und Selbsterhaltung.Die Idee, überlebensgroße Porträts von „Essern“ zu schaffen, war dabei nicht nur ein formaler, sondern auch ein inhaltlicher Befreiungsschlag – ein Angriff auf die Konventionen des Porträts ebenso wie auf die tradierten Regeln des Malens.

The series unfolds like a quiet yet unsettling observation of our time – almost a visual x-ray of behavior, revealing layers of compulsion, emotional fatigue, isolation, and inner imbalance. Beneath the surface of activity and constant stimulation lies a fragile state of disconnection.
