Art Magazine Aesthetica
The article in Aesthetica Magazine explores the work of Russian-German abstract expressionist Alexander Dik. Growing up in Kazakhstan and later moving to Berlin, Dik draws inspiration from his experiences as a migrant, using art as a means of self-discovery and reflection. In his works, content takes precedence over form. He employs bold colors and various techniques, including brush, spatula, and dripping paint. The resulting vibrant and provocative artworks evoke a range of emotions and human experiences, from despair and hesitation to joy and love. Dik’s upcoming series will be exhibited in 2022 at the Art Archive Museum and Art Beijing. He is represented by Pashmin Art Consortia and has previously exhibited in galleries in Germany and China.
